About This Spot

Stepping into Le Pré Catelan is like entering a serene sanctuary nestled within the lush Bois de Boulogne, where the elegant pulse of Parisian haute cuisine gently unfolds in a setting that balances grandeur with genuine warmth. The moment you arrive, there’s a quiet reverence in the air — a graceful rhythm that guides your senses rather than rushes them. It’s a place where anticipation is met with the unhurried delight of discovery, and where every detail, from the refined décor to the polished yet unpretentious service, invites you to savor the moment.

Le Pré Catelan offers more than just a meal; it unfolds as a culinary journey through the textures and flavors of expertly crafted French gastronomy. The experience is layered and nuanced, much like the meandering conversations and muted laughter that quietly fill the room. Each dish seems designed not just to impress but to create human moments — a shared pleasure in delicate balances like the subtle creaminess of a sorbet or the unexpected harmony of aromatic herbs and spices.

Dining here is as much about the atmosphere as it is about the food. The pace is thoughtful, allowing each course to breathe and encouraging diners to engage fully with the seasonal ingredients and the artistry on the plate. This is a place where a jacket is not merely a dress code but an invitation to join a tradition of understated elegance. Whether visiting for a celebratory occasion, a leisurely lunch after a stroll in the park, or a moment of quiet indulgence, the experience feels personal and timeless.

Beyond the restaurant, Le Pré Catelan’s role as a wedding and event venue speaks to its versatility — a space that accommodates joy and celebration with the same refined sensibility that defines its culinary offerings. Here, the beauty of the surrounding nature gently complements the sophisticated interior, creating an environment where memorable gatherings linger in the heart long after the last bite.

A true Michelin dining experience in one of the great restaurants of Europe. The meal was a journey of flavours and exceptionally executed. Service from the team was outstanding as was that of the sommelier. The restaurant itself is a grand a beautiful space. Note a casual chic dress code applies and a jacket is required for men.

My first Michelin 3-Star experience was at Le Pré Catelan in Bois de Boulogne, Paris. It was a truly spectacular culinary journey! It was worth the experience of a lifetime

In general, deserve 3-stars. Good price for value. Ingredient was luxury. Cuisine quality deserves 3-stars. Cuisine is international. Everyone would love it. It's no brainers to come here if you would like to treat a guest, a client with a reasonable budget.

La Ferme du pre, a very warm and inviting place next to the exceptional restaurant Le Pré Catelan, with interesting décor and truly exquisite food that ultimately steals the show. My wife and I enjoyed lunch there, and it’s truly a meal we will never forget. One of the best we had during our stay in Paris.

So I’ve been to several Michelin three star restaurants and this was honestly the best meal we have ever had. We came here for lunch because we wanted to see the park during the daytime. The service was a perfect balance of professional and attentive. There was zero attitude. The courses were perfectly timed and well paced. Lunch took approximately three hours. Decor is upscale, elaborate, and beautiful. The food is exquisite. Every course got better and better and better. We remarked every single time beginning with a crab course that it was the best version of that dish we had ever had. By the end of the meal we had concluded that this was in fact the best meal we had ever had at a restaurant. The drinks were outstanding as well. We did the 9 course version and it was plenty of food.

I had an amazing dinner here. I got the Pre menu, and it was quite a lot of food. The best dish of the night is of course the iconic Langoustine. The different approaches to bouillabaisse and sea urchin were very refreshing. But I think they should change the caviar dish. The combination of caviar and sorbet were too fishy for me. The wine list was great. The service was top notch. The waiters were very attentive and sweet. The restaurant is one of the most beautiful that I have been to.

We had an absolutely fantastic lunch at Le Pré Catelan and went for the midday tasting menu. From start to finish, everything — the food, the service, the setting — was outstanding. The langoustine in a foie gras-based sauce was hands-down our family’s favorite dish of the day (and maybe the entire trip). One of us insisted I write that it was so delicious he wanted to lick the plate — and to be honest, he kind of did. He wiped every last bit of sauce with bread, and even finished the small leftover on the kid’s plate. That’s how good it was. The rest of the courses maintained the same high standard — full of flavor, beautifully plated, and satisfying without being heavy. The menu might be “lunch pricing,” but there's absolutely nothing watered down about it. Both the presentation and the taste were full of creativity and refinement. The dining room is elegant and peaceful, nestled inside a lovely park setting. Service was attentive yet relaxed, making the experience both luxurious and comfortable. At €185 per person, the lunch menu feels like an act of generosity from a three-star restaurant. With wine, coffee, and a meal for two adults and one child, our bill came to just under €800 — and valet parking was available right at the door. Compared to many high-end spots in Paris, this felt not only memorable but fair. We’re already talking about coming back to try the full tasting menu next time. Highly recommended — a true gem.
